Meet Ms. Bean!
Hello! My name is Daryl Bean and I am currently a 3rd grade teacher at Red Cedar Elementary School in East Lansing, Michigan. I am in my second year of teaching! I am a graduate of the best university in the world, Michigan State University! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Language Arts. I am certified to teach Kindergarten through 5th grade all subjects and 6th-8th grade in the area of Language Arts.
I am interested in all sports especially football and hockey. I love waterskiing and snow skiing. In October 2009, I ran a half marathon and my goal is to do a full marathon...that's 26.2 miles! My favorite color isGREEN! and my favorite author is Jane Austen. I love all types of music, but most of all I love teaching kids!
My first year of teaching, my class started a "Make the world more beautiful" campaign and we jump started a program to recycle the milk jugs at our school! We saved our school lots of money in trash removal! My goal for my new school this year is to encourage our school to purchase biodegradable lunch trays instead of the styrofoam. As you can see I really live by the saying, GO GREEN!
